Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa has an exciting internship opportunity within the Manufacturing department. We are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join us as In-Service Quality Assurance Trainees at our Midrand facility. Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in quality management within the beverage industry.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality tests to ensure product and packaging meet company standards.
- Compile and communicate reports on quality metrics and out-of-specification issues.
- Ensure audit-ready records are maintained to uphold compliance and minimize costs.
Knowledge Requirements
- Scientific Background: Basic knowledge of microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and mathematics related to food production.
- Laboratory Familiarity: Understanding of laboratory practices, policies, and standards within the food industry.

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Grade 12 with a minimum of 40% in Mathematics and Physical Science (not Mathematics Literacy).
- Passed two South African languages with at least 40%.
- Tertiary Requirements:
- Studying towards a qualification in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or related fields.
- Completed theoretical coursework and require practical experience to graduate.
- No prior In-Service Trainee program experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a South African Citizen.
- Employment Equity candidate.
- Must have been unemployed at the time of application.
- Aged between 18-35 years.
- Letter from educational institution confirming need for practical exposure.
Internship Duration: 12 months
