About the National Skills Fund (NSF)

The National Skills Fund (NSF) is a South African government initiative that funds education and skills development programmes aimed at reducing unemployment and addressing critical skills shortages.

Accredited Training (75 Days)

Malmesbury Campus

ICB Junior Bookkeeping

  • Available Positions: 10
  • Minimum Requirement: Grade 10
  • Prior accounting knowledge is advantageous.

International Computer Driver’s Licence (ICDL)

  • Available Positions: 10
  • Minimum Requirement: Grade 10
  • Basic computer literacy is recommended.

Non-Accredited Short Skills Training (75 Days)

Vredenburg Campus

  • CBMT Boilermaker Phase 1 & 2 – 10 positions
  • CBMT Welder Phase 1 & 2 – 10 positions

Atlantis Campus

  • CBMT Bricklayer Phase 1 & 2 – 10 positions
  • CBMT Fitter and Turner Phase 1 & 2 – 10 positions
  • CBMT Electrical Phase 1 & 2 – 10 positions

Minimum Requirements

For the engineering and construction programmes, applicants must:

  • Be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Be unemployed
  • Have a minimum of Grade 9
  • Be a South African citizen
  • Persons living with disabilities are encouraged to apply

For the accredited bookkeeping and ICDL programmes, applicants must have at least Grade 10.

Stipend

Successful participants will receive:

  • A daily stipend
  • Paid monthly throughout the 75-day training period

The college has confirmed that a stipend will be paid, although the daily amount has not been specified.
