Who can apply?
Applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Reside in Gauteng Province.
- Register a profile on the Gauteng Professional Job Centre before applying.
- Meet the academic requirements for one of the following:
- Senior Certificate
- National Senior Certificate (NSC)
- National Certificate (Vocational) – Primary Health
- Current Grade 12 learner (meeting the required Grade 11 results)
Minimum academic requirements (NSC)
- English: Level 4
- Life Sciences: Level 4
- Mathematics: Level 4, or
- Mathematical Literacy: Level 5
- APS of 27 or higher (Life Orientation counts as half its value).
Selection process
Shortlisted applicants will undergo:
- Psychometric assessment
- Medical examination
- Physical assessment
- Qualification verification
- Supporting document verification
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee admission, as selection is competitive.

Important commitments
