About the Learnership

The Econofoods Meat Processing Learnership combines structured classroom learning with practical workplace training. During the 12-month programme, learners will develop industry-specific skills while working alongside experienced professionals in a meat processing environment.

Monthly Stipend

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Currently unemployed
  • Not studying full-time
  • Not enrolled in another learnership
  • Not awaiting graduation
  • Willing to commit to the full 12-month programme
  • Able to work retail hours when required
  • Able to travel to Econofoods stores if necessary
  • Must reside in Bloemfontein, Free State
  • Available to start on 01 October 2026

Required Documents
