About Discovery’s Talent Experience
Discovery’s “Our Talent Experience” initiative is designed to provide unemployed youth and graduates with valuable workplace exposure while developing critical skills for future employment. The programme includes:
- Internship Programme – A 12-month structured programme for unemployed graduates to gain practical experience in line with their qualification, with mentoring and professional development.
- Learnership Programme – A 12-month fixed-term contract that combines structured learning with on-the-job training, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
- Additional Talent Tracks – Discovery also offers special career pathways such as the Graduate Journey, Adrian Gore Fellowship Award, and GradHack (for IT students), giving candidates opportunities to fast-track their careers.
Who Can Apply
For Learnerships
- South African citizen
- Grade 12 (with valid matric certificate or recent academic results)
- Aged between 18 and 30 years
- Preference given to Employment Equity candidates
For Internships
- South African citizen
- Diploma or Degree (preferably in scarce and critical skills aligned with INSETA)
- Employment Equity candidates will be prioritised
Programme Structure & Selection Process

- Screening
- Applications are reviewed against programme criteria
- Engagement
- Shortlisted candidates are contacted by recruiters
- Assessment
- May include telephonic, virtual, or face-to-face interviews

- Selection
- Successful candidates are offered placement in the programme
