Clover is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed youth to join our Sales department as Merchandisers. This 12-month learnership program provides valuable work experience in a dynamic environment.
Positions are available at Clover branches including:

Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4).
- Fluent in Business English.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities
Stock Control
- Apply proper stock control measures in-store and in backup areas.
- Minimize and record product returns in line with store work plans.
- Prevent out-of-stock situations and report any occurrences to the Area Manager (AM).
- Place accurate and timely orders as per the ordering schedule.
- Ensure products are clean and neatly displayed on shelves at all times.
- Maintain proper crate and equipment control according to company policy.
Shelf Management
- Follow store and shelf plans for accurate product placement.
- Pack shelves according to Store Flow guidelines and basic merchandising rules.
- Ensure fridge maintenance and product integrity.
- Maintain shelf setups as per provided plannograms or generic shelf sets.
- Keep product PI labels updated at all times.
- Display and maintain point-of-sale materials at designated positions.
Business Relationships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with store management, Area Managers, Head Office, customers, and fellow Merchandisers.
- Exploit in-store opportunities to enhance product presence and visibility.
Administrative Tasks
- Ensure relevant administrative duties are completed accurately and promptly.
- Follow Clover’s policies and standards in all operations.
