Main Responsibilities

Customer Service & Digital Banking Support

  • Assist customers in branch
  • Help clients use online and mobile banking
  • Resolve login and digital banking issues
  • Assist with airtime and data purchases
  • Provide statements, cards, and banking documents
  • Promote digital banking channels
  • Identify opportunities to refer customers for additional banking products

Cash Handling & Branch Operations

  • Process deposits and withdrawals
  • Handle transfers and cash transactions
  • Replenish ATM cash
  • Support branch device maintenance
  • Manage bank cards and branch stock
  • Process foreign exchange transactions where applicable

Risk & Compliance

  • Follow banking security procedures
  • Prevent fraud through proper customer verification
  • Maintain accurate transaction records
  • Comply with banking regulations and policies

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) – Required
  • Higher Certificate in Banking Services (NQF Level 5) – Advantageous

Experience

  • 1–2 years experience in:
    • Retail banking
    • Customer service
    • Cash handling
    • Digital banking support
    • Problem resolution

Foreign exchange experience is an advantage.

Important Note

This position is not an entry-level Matric-only role. Nedbank requires:

  • A Diploma (NQF 6), and
  • 1–2 years of relevant banking/customer-service experience.
