Eskom is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2026 in KwaZulu-Natal. This initiative forms part of a national public-private partnership led by the Presidency, aimed at tackling youth unemployment and creating meaningful work opportunities for young people.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Eskom Youth Employment Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 34 years old
- Have Grade 12 (Matric) and/or a post-matric qualification or N3 Electrical Engineering certificate
- Must not have been permanently employed with one employer for more than 12 consecutive months
- Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment
- Must not have previously participated in or registered for the YES Initiative
Shortlisted candidates will undergo a recruitment and selection process. Successful applicants will be placed within Eskom Operations in KwaZulu-Natal.
