About the Role
The P27 role focuses on creating a seamless shopping experience through:
- Efficient stock replenishment and merchandising.
- Maintaining a clean and organized store.
- Accurate processing of transactions at till points.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service:
- Assist customers in locating goods and products.
- Address customer queries and complaints promptly.
- Cashier Duties:
- Handle cash and card payments.
- Process lay-bys, customer refunds, and till balancing.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
- Merchandising:
- Ensure accurate pricing and product display.
- Maintain stock availability on the sales floor.
- Keep the store tidy and up-to-date with promotions.
- Risk Management:
- Tag products according to company policy.
- Participate in stock-taking activities.
- Monitor for shoplifting or fraudulent behavior and report to management.
- Uphold Company Values:
- Consistently demonstrate Ackermans’ values and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Required Skills:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (fluent in English; additional languages beneficial).
- High energy, motivation, and target-driven mindset.
- Tenacious and team-oriented.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous retail experience is advantageous.
