Job Description

RCL FOODS is seeking two Admin Clerks on a fixed-term contract basis, to be based at our National Office in Westville, Durban. The successful candidates will be responsible for administering the records of RCL FOODS suppliers and vendors involved in transactions with the business.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric certificate with Mathematics and Accountancy.
  • Minimum of 1 year of creditors experience or similar experience within a financial department.
  • SAP experience is advantageous.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

Creditor Administration:

  • Match invoices and credit notes with SAP receipts in the GR/IR account.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT legislation by checking invoices and credit notes.
  • Verify supplier details on invoices against Masterdata in SAP.
  • Capture invoices and credit notes into the SAP system.
  • Record invoices under query on the SharePoint system.
  • Refer discrepancies between supplier statements, invoices, and receipts or purchase orders to the relevant Creditors Clerk for investigation.
  • Collate supplier invoices and statements.
  • Batch and file invoices and credit notes appropriately.

Information and Data Management:

  • Accurately and regularly input data into the information system to facilitate access to reliable data and support reporting for trend analysis and decision-making.

Ad Hoc Administration:

  • File and safeguard records within your area of responsibility.
  • Compile ad hoc spreadsheets as needed.
  • Address ad hoc requests from the Creditors Clerk and Controller.

Teamwork and Self-Management:

  • Take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, demonstrating effective self-management in planning, prioritizing, and pursuing self-development.
  • Maintain quality and productivity standards consistently in your work.
  • Communicate potential risks and provide appropriate resolutions if deadlines or tasks are at risk of not being met.
  • Support and drive the core values of the business.
  • Manage expectations of colleagues and clients through appropriate communication.
