About the EPWP General Worker Programme
The General Worker positions fall under the municipality’s Economic Development Services Department. Participants will support projects aimed at improving water infrastructure, reducing water losses, and promoting water conservation throughout the municipality.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Successful applicants will be expected to:
- Assist with water conservation initiatives.
- Detect and repair water leaks.
- Repair prepaid water leaks.
- Repair and maintain water valves.

- Perform general labour duties related to water infrastructure.
- Assist with water system audits.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent qualification.
- Be unemployed.
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Have no criminal record.
- Reside within the ward where the advertised duty station is located.
- Must not have previously participated in or benefited from an EPWP programme.
Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee appointment, as only shortlisted candidates will be considered.
