About the Position
Premier is seeking an experienced Code 14 Link Driver to transport products safely and efficiently from its Polokwane depot. The role involves operating heavy commercial vehicles, completing deliveries, maintaining vehicle standards, and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Report vehicle faults and maintenance issues.
- Transport products safely between locations.
- Load and off-load products and pallets.
- Verify delivery documentation and quantities.
- Obtain signed Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
- Comply with traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 (Matric)
Licences
- Valid Code 14 Driver’s Licence
- Valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- No endorsements on licence
Experience
- 5–10 years of heavy vehicle driving experience
- Experience driving:
- Scania trucks
- Mercedes-Benz trucks
- MAN trucks
