Job Overview

Lancet Laboratories is looking for Admin Clerk – Data Capturer candidates for permanent positions based in Bloemfontein and Kimberley. The successful applicants will capture patient and specimen data accurately, assist with administrative tasks, handle client queries, and ensure smooth workflow within the laboratory.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or NQF Level 4
  • 0–1 year relevant experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Understanding of laboratory or organisational procedures
  • Knowledge of lab information systems (advantageous)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Capture patient details, medical aid information, and doctor’s data accurately
  • Register patient forms in line with SOPs
  • Verify registration forms for correctness to ensure reliable test results
  • Dispatch specimens and track courier deliveries
  • Manage administrative queries and complaints
  • Handle switchboard duties when needed
  • Complete hospital rounds: collect specimens and distribute reports
  • File documentation and manage report collections
  • Order and monitor stationery
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and prepare equipment for use
  • Assist clients at reception and direct them to relevant departments
  • Receive patient payments and ensure accurate daily banking
  • Scan specimens for digital storage and retrieval
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper waste disposal
  • Train new team members and maintain training logs
  • Uphold company uniform standards and organisational conduct
