South African Special Risk Insurance Association (SASRIA) invites students to apply for Bursary Programme 2025.

Sasria, a leading South African public company, is offering bursaries to support students pursuing undergraduate studies in fields considered scarce skills. The bursary aims to build a pipeline of talented young professionals in the areas of accounting, IT, finance, and other critical disciplines.

Bursary Coverage

The Sasria Bursary will cover full-time undergraduate studies in the above-listed fields. The bursary aims to help cover tuition and related educational costs for successful candidates.


Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Sasria Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. South African citizenship
  2. Age between 16 and 20 years old
  3. Currently in Matric (2024) or have completed Matric
  4. Intend to study full-time towards a bachelor’s degree in one of the eligible fields in 2025
  5. First-year undergraduate study in 2025
  6. Mathematics (NOT Mathematics Literacy) passed in Matric
  7. Minimum 70% overall average in Matric
  8. Intend to study at a recognised and accredited South African university
  9. Household income of less than R600,000 per year

Matric certificate (if already completed Matric)

Matric latest report (if currently in Matric)

Parents/guardians ID Documents or Death Certificates (if applicable)

Proof of parents/guardians’ income (e.g., most recent payslips, affidavit if unemployed, or a declaration of income for self-employed parents)

Proof of Residence
