Programme Purpose

Transnet seeks dynamic, recently qualified graduates to join a two-year structured internship that offers practical workplace experience and career development in the heritage and humanities sectors.

Position Outputs

As a Young Professional-in-Training, your responsibilities will include:

  • Shadowing staff and participating in workshops and meetings
  • Supporting procurement and communication processes
  • Assisting with research, administrative tasks, and project deliverables
  • Serving as a point of contact for both suppliers and internal customers
  • Providing regular progress updates and addressing queries timeously

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • Degree or National Diploma in:
    • Heritage Studies
    • Fine Art
    • History
    • Curatorship
    • Visual Studies
    • Other related Humanities disciplines
  • 0–1 year of work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • South African youth under the age of 35 will be given preference
