LOCATION: SAPS Academy Philippi, Division: Human Resource Development, Western Cape
LEVEL OF REMUNERATION: R228 321 per annum

Generic Requirements:
- Display competency in the post-specific core functions.
- Be fluent in at least two of the official languages (one must be English).
- Be a South African Citizen.
- No previous criminal/departmental convictions or pending cases.
- Subject to a vetting process, including security screening and fingerprint verification.
Additional Requirements:
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) on NQF level 4.
- A certificate in food preparation and/or catering will serve as an advantage.
- Ability to operate elementary machines and equipment.
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
Core Functions:
- Administer general mess matters.
- Manage mess purchases and control stock.
- Set up the kitchen with appropriate cooking utensils and equipment.
- Plan and prepare meals based on a healthy menu.
- Ensure meals are well-cooked with appealing presentation.
- Serve meals and provide waiter service.
- Ensure hygiene and safety compliance in the kitchen environment.
