Purpose Statement

• Responsible for a producing a comprehensive technical specification that offers a technical viable solution and address the business requirements within the SOA environment
• Design test plans and provide guidelines to facilitate performance and stress testing 
• Continuous business and industry research to guide the critical evaluation of architectural and design patterns & principles.

Experience

• At least 5 years’ relevant design and development experience in C# or VB.Net and SQL. 
• Proven knowledge of and experience in:
  • Min:
    • UML (1 year) 
    • Analysis, design and writing technical specifications (2 years) 
    • Overall knowledge of.Net Framework up to v4.5 (3 years)  – tool applied to write UML
    • C# (2 years) 
    • SQL (2 years) 
    • Relational Database Design (2 years) 
    • ASP.Net / Java script / HTML / CSS (2 years) 
    • XML / Xpath 
    • Web Services / SOAP 
    • Windows Services 
    • WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) 
    • OO Development Methodologies  
    • An understanding of SOA. 
    • MVC and MVVM Architecture  
    • IIS 
    • SQL Server 
    • Windows Server 
    • TCP/IP Fundamentals 
    • FTP   
    • Windows, Active Domain, .Net and IIS security models 
    • Integration of different systems and platforms
  • Ideal:
    • Interfacing with Java via Socket Programming
    • JBoss
    • Enterprise Architect (UML editor)
    • SSL Certificates

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant qualification in Information Technology
